The Fulda Raiders Girls’ basketball team traveled to Edgerton Tuesday night to take on the Dutchmen. The Raiders led the majority of the game but were unable to close it out, missing key parts of the team due to illness.
Randi Tiesler led the Raiders with 29 points and nine rebounds, who had an 11-point lead at halftime. This lead quickly diminished with three straight shots from beyond the arc for the Dutchmen. The game then went back and forth the rest of the way and was tied with 30 seconds left. The Raiders missed a shot on their next possession and were called for a foul underneath the basket.
Chyna Berning hit the two free throws off the foul to give the Dutchmen a 2-point lead. Fulda went down the floor and missed another shot and this time were forced to foul. Jenny Nelson hit one of two free throws with 6 second left to give them a three point lead.
