On Monday night, the Raiders played host to the SWC Eagles from Edgerton. The game was originally supposed to be played last Tuesday night, but due to all the bad weather, the Raiders and Eagles faced off on Monday instead. The Eagles got hot early and were able to run the Raiders out of the gym, handing the Raiders a 86-38 loss.
Tyler Madison scored 13 points and had 12 rebounds. Payton Marquardt added 11 points and 5 rebounds. Sam Cheadle chipped in 9 points.
Right from the jump, the Eagles were ready to show the Raiders why they are one of the top teams in the conference. They played the Raiders tight on defense and were able to turn around and score almost on every possession of their own. Madison started the Raiders off by getting to the free throw line and Marquardt and Cory Renneke were able to hit some 3-pointers. But the Eagles were able to continually run down the court for layups. Cheadle was able to work his way around the basket for 2 layups, but that was about all the scoring that the Raiders were able to get down in the half, as the Eagles led at halftime 49-20.
The second half saw the Eagles do the same thing. They were able to routinely get around their defenders for scores, while the Raiders struggled to shoot the ball. Cheadle, Madison, and Marquardt were the only Raiders that were able to score in the second half for Fulda.
