Thirty-one members of the Fulda Elementary School Safety Patrol were honored Monday evening at the Fulda Legion/Community Hall.  They were served a pizza supper by the American Legion Post # 318 and the Ladies Auxiliary members.

The FES School Safety Patrol is responsible for student safety in crossing busy intersections at the close of each school day.

Each School Safety Patrolman received a special certificate in recognition of their service. The certificates state, “The American Legion Department of Minnesota presents this certificate in recognition of Honorable Service as a member of the School Safety Patrol established by the local school authority as prescribed by the Minnesota Department of Education in co-operation with the Minnesota Department of Public Safety and sponsored by The American Legion.

This award authorizes the recipient to wear the School Safety Patrol Emblem of Service.”

The certificates were signed by Dennis A Milton, the Minnesota American Legion Commander and James R. Troje, American Legion Post #318 Commander.
