Fulda elementary softball team had a full day of games on July 6th. Edgerton 1, Edgerton 2, Adrian 1, Adrian 2, Worthington, and Fulda were the teams that participated in the tournament.
First game of the day the Raiders played Adrian 2. In the first inning, the girls had to get comfortable with the speed and the pitching machine in general. It was a quick inning where there were not runs. Adrian score only one run in the first inning. Hailee Gunn started the Raiders off for the second inning and she connected with the ball and made it to first. Christina Hensen and Everly Henning both contributed with singles. With Everly’s single she ran in Hailee for the first run for the Raiders. Going into the third inning the score was still tied at 1-1. Adrian did not get a run in the third inning. Emily Madison, Alexa Clarke, Hailee Gunn, and Christina Hensen all hit singles but Adrian held them by getting the outs at third base all three times. Going into the final inning, both teams needed to score. Adrian did not score any runs in the inning. Fulda’s Chrissy Hermeling and Taryn Evers crushed two doubles. Claire Reith connected with the ball but got out at first but got a run in. Emily and Alexa had singles that helped get Taryn home to give the Raiders a win.
