Fulda Fire Chief David Baumhoefner announced the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in this year’s Fire Prevention Week Poster Contest on Monday morning. Fourth grade students at Fulda Elementary School were asked to enter the contest using this year’s theme of “Not Every Hero Wears a Cape. Plan and Practice Your Escape!” 1st place winner was Brie Kirchner, who received a certificate and a $20 monetary gift. Second place went to Brody Landgren, who received a certificate and a $15 monetary gift. Third place was awarded to Jordan Vortherms, who received a certificate and a $10 monetary gift.
Fire Prevention Week was October 6 – 12, with the Fulda firefighters providing several avenues of education about prevention to elementary students.
