On Tuesday afternoon, Fulda Fire Chief David Baumhoefner announced the winners of this year’s National Fire Prevention Poster Contest. This year’s theme was “Don’t Wait – Check the Date!” which refers to the date printed on the back side of every smoke alarm. The poster contest winners are all fourth grade students at Fulda Elementary School and St. Paul’s Lutheran School. Earning first place was Caleb Appel, a fourth grader at St. Paul’s Lutheran School. He was presented $15.00 for his winning poster. In second place was Eh Saw Soe who was presented $10 for his poster work. Jackson Kramer earned third place and was given $5.00 for his poster placement. Soe and Kramer are students at Fulda Elementary School.
