Avera Medical Group Fulda has been named the Fulda Area Community Club Business of the Month for March. The clinic is located at 201 N. St. Paul Avenue, Fulda.
Avera Medical Group Fulda offers a two provider family practice, medical lab, routine health care, acute care, Minnesota Department of Transportation physicals, chronic disease management such as diabetes and hypertension.
Avera Medical Group Fulda has been offering services in Fulda since the 1980’s. The clinic was first located in a house on the corner of 4th Street and Ireland. During the mid-1990’s, the clinic moved to its current location at 201 N. St. Paul Avenue.
In 2014, Stacy Slettum, CNP, and Megan Schryvers, CNP, both Family Medicine providers, joined Avera Medical Group Fulda and are working as full-time providers. Dr. Mark Ludes, Pediatrician, comes on Tuesday afternoons to provide services.
Other staff members at Avera Medical Group Fulda are Joan Kolander, reception and labs, Angie Hardekopf, LPN, Wendi Kremer, LPN, and Lacey Petersen, LPN. Each of these four ladies grew up in the local area.
The building that houses Avera Medical Group Fulda was constructed in 1957 as the Fulda Municipal Liquor Store. It sat empty for a couple of years before being purchased by WSC during the 90’s and converted into the medical office building.
Angie Hardekopf, LPN, stated, “I chose to work at Avera Fulda clinic because it is nice to be able to live and work in such a wonderful, supportive community. I am truly blessed to be able to work with an amazing group of women. Their compassion and mission to provide great care to this community is overwhelming and I feel lucky to be a part of that. My favorite quote by Confucius is “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.”
