Four Fulda boys and one Fulda girl advanced to the 2nd round of the section tournament on Wednesday in Worthington and Emily Schroer will be representing Fulda at the state golf meet next Tuesday and Wednesday at the Pebble Creek Golf Course in Becker, Minnesota.
After shooting a 1st round score of 101 and putting herself in 3rd place individually, Emily went out and shot an even better 2nd round of 98 to secure her 1st ever trip to the state golf tournament. Her 2 day score of 199 gave her a 5th place overall finish in the Section and qualified her for the state golf meet next week as the 3rd individual qualifier for Section 3A.
Emily will tee off on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon at a time yet to be determined.
Hallie Will of Windom was the medalist for the tournament and the Windom Area girls won the team spot at the state tournament beating 2nd place MCC by over 60 strokes.
Four Fulda boys advanced to the 2nd round of the Section meet, but unfortunately none were able to secure a top 5 finish and advance to the state tournament.
Cory Renneke fired a 2nd round score of 97 to finish with a 192, Joe Fischer fired a 102 to finish with 198, Justin Dierks shot a 100 to go with his 98, and Brandon Everett fired a two day score of 201.
The boys had a tremendous year and have nothing to hang their heads on.

Congrats to Emily and look for a wrap of the season along with how Emily fared in a couple weeks. Good Luck to Emily at State!!!!!
