G. W. (Doc) Schwarz passed away on Monday, March 2, 2020.
Schwarz will be remembered as an inventor, entrepreneur, musician, veteran and long-time businessman.
Following high school, Schwarz attended Gustavus College, and then served in the United States Army where he was stationed in Korea with the 2nd Division. After service, he attended Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis where he studied electronics. For a time, he worked at Remmington Rand Univac in the Military Systems Division.
In 1960, Schwarz, his wife, Gertrude, and baby, Joselin, moved to Fulda, MN where he began manufacturing television roof towers.
Schwarz owned and operated The White Diamond Archery Club and was well-known for his abilities in archery.
An avid bow hunter and fisherman, Schwarz developed, patented and marketed the “SNARO” – a field point for arrows, as well as Ace Broadheads, the First Folding Tree Stand, Blue Fin and Sail Fin Bow Fishing Points, Ace Arrows, Wheel Ezz Archery Target Stands, Smoke Holders, Circle Six Targets, the Minnesota Minnow Round, and several other archery points.
