Fulda City Council approves purchase of two lots in Wood Duck Addition

The Fulda Council met on Thursday September 12 for the monthly meeting. Gerald and Sandra Pearson requested to purchase Lot’s 2 & 3 block 2 in Wood Duck Addition. One house would be built in the center of the two lots. There was discussion of just one house but was quickly settled and approved. Chuck Lursen renewed his complaints about weeds around town

Jim Elsing said the shingles on the depot were covered by insurance and will be replaced. There will be some new lights in the city park. There is a need for water main repair records placed on maps.

The city will sell their Snow Go on bids. City Cleanup will be September 25

Resolution 2019-11 to adopt the Murray County All-Hazard Mitigation Plan for disaster preparations was passed by the council. Also adopted was a Data Practices Policy for members of the public. It covers the right to access public data and what to expect. A charge for copies and a written request have to maid. There are ethics guidelines for City employees and appointed officials. A social media policy was adopted to govern social sites, photos, videos and web-based platforms

Building permits were approved for David Dardis to move in a garage, Mason Kill-addition to house, Sheila Abel’s-replace concrete driveway and Sandra Pearson – new home.

The next regular council meeting will be October 7, 2019 at 6:30 p.m.
