A special meeting was held before the regular Fulda City Council meeting on Monday, June 4, to talk about sanitary cleaning and inspection.
The process is a necessary part of planning and could cost up to $167,000.00. Doing the entire project of the city’s storm sewer, sanitary and water system would be more cost effective than doing portions. The council will be discussing the possibilities in future meetings.
Vast Broadband representatives spoke about there services and a variety of packages they offer. The city approved the franchise and passed ordinance #232. The company plans to be up as early as this fall.
A Bike Fix It Station with basic tools, tire pump and rack will be located in the city park and was part of the Walk, Bike Fun.
Noah Johnson applied for the rural Service District for their lot on the north edge of Fulda.
The council with Steve Haugen reviewed the 2017 audit. The draft was approved with a few changes.
The city will be selling several trucks, pickup and tractors in the near future. Approval was given to purchase a 2000 single ax plow truck from the MnDOT.
The building permits approved were for David Baumhoefner to replace a deck. Georgia Lursen for a storage shed.
The next regular meeting will be July 2. The council will be interviewing four people on June 11 for the street department.
