Fulda City Council Frodermann offered Public Works Superintendent position

The Fulda City Council met Monday night. The Public Forum included Brian VanderBeek, who said the city needs to sign for the state to allow boring under the state highway. There will be a two inch line of forced waist from Brian’s Supper Club that will be inside a six inch line for future use. The city approved the project. Scott Bultmann said the Prairie Star Youth Group is looking for a project that could earn them money. He said they could paint curb radius and fire hydrants. The project was tabled. Benson Den Hartog wants to put in a dock across from 510 E. Lake Ave. The council approved the project with some stipulations. Chuck Lursen requested a four way stop signs on W. Lake Ave. He said there is a lot of walkers, bikers and vehicle traffic in that area. The council agreed to placing two stop signs on E. Lake were it crosses Lloyd Lane along with a “Children at Play” sign. Kristen Spittle requested that the city consider allowing a small number of chickens to be kept by residents. She said hens, unlike roosters, are friendly, entertaining and quiet.   Councilman Jim Brown said the streetlight pole sleeves are here and will be assembled soon and will be placed on W. Lake Ave.   Police Chief Paul Kenney said there were more things showing at the city dump. He said they may need lock it up or put cameras up. The council is considering their options.   Bids for the 580 Case tractor attracted three bids ranging $5,510 to $7,418. All bids were rejected.
