A special meeting for the Wood Duck Addition Tax Abatement was held Monday July 2. No one attended the meeting.. Ordinance 2018-6 to diversify the TIFF District was passed and Ordinance 2018-7 awarded General Obligation to the First National Bank of Fulda. The changes will open the sale of lots to everyone.

Roger Zins, President of the Fulda Ambulance Association, informed the council it was time to purchase a new ambulance the current one is a 2009 box on a 1994 truck. By the time the new ambulance is bid and built,  the old one will be ten years old. The department has the necessary money saved for the purchase. The council approved the purchase.

The Fulda Fire Department has completed a study thru the BKV Group engineering firm of Minneapolis, Minnesota. The study details the existing problems of doors that are to small for the trucks, heating and cooling deficiency, lack of training room and storage. Another problem is the pathogens brought back to the fire hall on their jackets, pants and equipment and hung on a hook in the hall. The pathogens are known to increase the risk of cancer in firemen. The plans will be dictated by the location of the building site. Several locations have been located for the future fire hall. The current hall would require up to $253,000 to regenerate the building. The current hall covers 3350 ft.² and is occupied exclusively by the fire department. The proposed hall would be 10,984 ft.² and would not provide a training room. Another plan would be for 12,800 ft.² and would provide the training. Third would be a 10 to 12% increase for hallways, mechanical equipment, etc.
