Two sunny, warm days found the Fulda Elementary School fourth through sixth grade students participating in Track and Field Days. The events were held on Tuesday, May 14th and Thursday, May 16th at Alex Fisher Field.
Supervised by several staff members, the students participated in a variety of events. Some of the students’ favorites were the high jump, long jump, hurdles, and several relays and meter races.
Spectators of staff, students in grades 1 through 3, parents, grandparents, and others who just enjoy watching the Track and Field events lined the sides of the track. They offered support to all of the athletes through their cheers and clapping.
With the meter races, each student’s time was recorded and the students learned right after the event what their times were.
The two-day event was considered to be a “lot of fun in the sun” for many of the participants.
