Fulda Elementary School preschoolers visited three local businesses in Fulda on Thursday, May 3rd. Their purpose was to learn about some of the community workers in Fulda, as they had recently studied a unit on community workers.
Their first stop was the Fulda Free Press where they learned about how the weekly newspaper is produced. They had their photo taken and learned how photos and words are put into columns using a computer. It was with eager sharing that they expressed the fact that the alphabet had to be used by the Fulda Free Press employees to do their jobs. They also learned that math plays a major role in producing the paper.
The students were able to see “the big scissors” being used to cut pads of printed paper to make note pads.
