Fulda Falls at Luverne

The Fulda Boys’ Basketball team finished off their pre-Christmas schedule on Friday, December 21st, when they traveled over to Luverne for a non-conference match up. The Cardinals were able to use their length and quickness to force the Raiders into 33 turnovers and cruise to a 87-45 victory.

Sam Cheadle led the Raiders with 22 points and 4 steals. Logan Erdmann added a career and season-high 8 rebounds to go with his 6 points.

The start of the game saw the Raiders work the ball around and get some very good looks on the offensive end. Cory Renneke was able to connect from the 3-point line from an assist from Tyler Madison. Madison was able to also get to the free throw line by drawing some fouls on Luverne. But Luverne was able to make a push midway through the half. They were continually able to get the ball into the high-post and make plays from there. But they were also able to create some easy baskets in transition as they used some traps to get the Raiders to turn it over. Brandon Clausen was able to also find the range in the 1st half, as he knocked down a three. Erdmann was able to hit two baskets from close range and Madison hit a free throw at the end of the half to bring the score at halftime to 47-27 in favor of the Cardinals.
