On Saturday afternoon, the Fulda Fire Department was called to a fire at 33172 120th Avenue, Fulda. “A passerby noticed the fire and called it in,” Fulda Fire Chief David Baumhoefner stated. “Embers from a trash fire earlier in the day landed on the roof of a wooden granary that had been converted into a storage . When we arrived on the scene, the fire already had a good start.”
Brewster Fire Department was called upon to provide mutual aid. They came with manpower, an engine and a tanker.
When the fire was under control, all that remained of the building was an interior wall.
One fire fighter was injured while removing tin and received medical treatment for a cut.
