January 14, 2020 – Fulda, MN—Wrestling is the oldest sport in the world and the only sport mentioned in the Bible. People have been wrestling in some sort of organized fashion since almost the beginning of time. Wrestling in itself is a relatively simple sport, you go out onto a mat tackle your opponent and hold them there.
When you take part in the sport or watch a lot of matches you begin to notice that more is going on. You begin to see the desire to win, the unwillingness to give up, the defeats, small victories, big victories, determination, grit and on. Sometimes just a takedown can be a huge victory for a wrestler, then sometimes winning state isn’t enough they go on to nationals looking for that ultimate challenge.
