The Fulda/MCC Warriors traveled to Redwood to wrestle in the 32 team Redwood River Riot individual tournament.
This tournament is scheduled for a two-day tournament with the Varsity wrestlers wrestled on Friday and if they did well enough they would have the opportunity to wrestle on Saturday. The Junior Varsity wrestled on Saturday only.
The Warriors lined up four wrestlers to wrestle Varsity on Friday night. Dawson Blankenship wrestled 106#, Danny Blankenship wrestled 126#, Christian Kuball wrestled 138# and Rylan Behnke wrestled 152#.
Dawson Blankenship started his tournament off wrestling a foe from Sartell where he lined up and went into the 2nd period. Dawson was losing 4-2 when he went to take down his opponent and was caught in a head lock and pinned. Dawson was then matched up against a wrestler from Maple Grove. Dawson went out and shot on his opponent trying to score a takedown when the Maple Grove wrestler countered Dawson and ended up pinning Dawson in the second period ending Dawson’s tournament.
