Fulda Memorial Library will be offering four events for the public to attend during the month of October. Each of the events is funded by the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
On Monday, October 16th, The Sutter Brothers, Russ and Bart, will be performing at Mapleview Estates at 2 p.m. A Sutter Brothers performance is a fun-filled blend of music, storytelling, and poetry, highlighting their small town, preacher’s kid roots and Scandinavian heritage.
On Thursday, October 19th, the Mike Lynch Minnesota StarWatch party will return to Fulda and will be held at Fulda High School, beginning at 7 p.m. Mike Lynch returns to Fulda to share his knowledge of the starry heavens. On Saturday, October 21st, an Ancestry.com Workshop with Molly Schweinfurter will be held at 1 p.m. at the library. Schweinfurter has presented workshops on genealogy to libraries in the Plum Creek, Pioneerland and Traverse des Sioux library systems, at Branch Out Minnesota and at the Minnesota Library Association annual conference. Fulda Memorial Library currently has a subscription to Ancestry.com library eition which is free for the community to use at their library.
And on Tuesday, October 24th Jen Anfinson will be holding a Jewelry Stamping event at 7 p.m. at Fulda Memorial Library.
Class size is limited to 12 – ages 15 and up, so please call the library to pre-register. Anfinson is from Paynesville, Minnesota, and leaves creativity behind wherever she goes.
