Fulda’s Police Department held a Bike Rodeo on Saturday afternoon on the playground at Fulda Elementary School. Children were invited to bring their bikes to the Bike Rodeo, have their tire air pressure checked and the functunality of the brakes as well. Chad Ouellette was in charge of taking care of tires and brakes.
Helping with registration at the Bike Rodeo were Edie Troje and Roxanne Kenney.
Miniature cones had been set up marking out a “road” to enable officers Paul Kenney and Lexy Gass to teach the children about arm signals to use when riding their bikes. “Stretch your right arm and hand out straight from your side when you want to make a right-hand turn,” Chief Kenney explained. “Stretch your left arm and hand out straight from your side to tell the others behind you that you want to make a left-hand turn.”
