Fulda Schools Superintendent, Loy Woelber, had held discussions with Pool Manager, Colby Pack, as they noted that there were several cleaning and updating issues that needed to be addressed.
Woelber said, “It was time to drain the pool and give it a little tender loving care. It had been over six years since it had been drained. From now on out, we would like to stick to at least a 2-3 year rotation.”
Superintendent Woelber has a motto “the little things”, which for Fulda Pool meant that a deep cleaning and paint would do a lot to improve the condition of the pool and locker rooms. The black slip strips, switched the upper community deck to LED lighting, stripped and waxed the floor, replaced the non-working heater in the entryway and painted floors and walls in the office and locker room.
