Friday night found the Raiders traveling to Ellworth as a make-up game from the previous Monday. Despite the frigid temperatures outside, the Raiders were on fire on the court on this evening. Fulda had three players in double digits with Dalton Slinger leading the way with 18 points enroute to a 75-40 victory.
Slinger kicked off his scoring by connecting on one-of-two from the free throw line. Leighton Gehl added a layup and basket on back-to-back trips down court. With a free throw from Justin Dierks and layup off a steal by Brandon Everett, Fulda found themselves earning a 8-2 lead in the opening minutes.
Ellsworth struggled with the full court pressure Fulda was exerting and often collapsed as a result leaving the Raiders the opportunity for a quick score.
Fulda advanced their advantage as Slinger dropped in a bucket off an in-bounds pass and Gehl later added another layup. Dierks popped his first three of the game to push the Raider advantage 15-2 as the clock hit the 11 minute mark.
Ellsworth finally found the mark as Zachary Buntjer laid the ball over the hoop for two.
Fulda didn’t relinquish as Matthias Kunerth hauled in the offensive board and put it in the basket. As the ball moved towards the Ellsworth side of the court, Dalton Slinger stole the ball and quickly converted it into a layup, 20-4.
