Last week did not start off on the right foot for the Fulda Raiders girls’ basketball team. Monday night they hosted the Worthington Trojans in a non-conference matchup. The Trojans used two huge runs throughout the game and were in complete control from the start. They went on a 17-0 run in the first half to push to a 36 – 13 halftime lead. The Raiders struggled to shoot and protect the ball committing 31 turnovers forced by an attacking Trojans full court press (18 steals). In the second half, the Trjoans used an 11-0 run to grow the lead even further and went home with a 64-28 win. Emily Shaffer led the way for the Trojans with 30 points shooting 7-12 from beyond the arc. For the Raiders, Evany Luna posted another double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds.
