Fulda School Board meets in special session to approve asbestos abatement and mechanical bids

Fulda School Board met in a special session on Friday afternoon to unanimously approve contractor bids for asbestos abatement and mechanical work in conjunction with the boiler replacement project at Fulda High School.  On Friday morning, representatives of Apex opened bids presented by prospective contractors. The bids revealed that the stages of the boiler replacement project would cost $955,159 instead of the $1,072,450 as previously projected. Advanced Security, Slayton, will be working on the asbestos abatement and Bisbee Plumbing and Heating is the mechanical contractor. The work will begin within the next two weeks.
