Fulda School Board Superintendent contract approved

The Fulda School Board passed the Consent Agenda at their March 13 meeting. Included in the Consent Agenda were three Open Enrollment requests from the elementary school and four building usage requests. The board also acknowledged a notice of intent to negotiate from the Fulda Education Association and also approved a contract for non-certified employees.

Carol Bertrand was hired in Food Service for the remaining school year.

Reports from  Principal Mike Pagel and Gregg Slaathaug brought the board up to date on school activities. Superintendent Luther Onken went over positions that would be filled and progress reports on everything from lighting to boiler valve replacement. The items for future consideration range from carpet, doors, speakers, storage, bathroom partitions, air conditioning and roof replacement for the high school.

The revised budget for the 2016–2017 school year for the Fulda Public Schools was approved. The revenue total was $5,038,534.00 and the expenditures were $5,075,662.00 for a difference of $37,128.00.
