Fulda students participate in Jumpstart’s Read for the Record

Thank You, Omu was the name of this year’s Read for the Record book enjoyed by several Fulda school students, and youngsters who were in daycare.

Both kindergarten classes from Fulda Elementary School read the book with Fulda Memorial Library employee, Dwayna Paplow, and volunteer Jan Van Oort.

Read for the Record is a program of Jumpstart, Children first. The organization is marking its 25th year this year.

Every year, Jumpstart selects a book that will foster language and social and emotional development. It also honors diversity in our world with a strong narrative and appeal to young children.

For Read for the Record, the book is read across the United States and around the world by adults and young readers on Read for the Record Day.

The very best part of Read for the Record is that everyone is invited to join in on the fun!
