On Tuesday evening at their regular meeting, members of the Fulda Volunteer Fire Department were presented with the Home Town Hero Award by the Modern Woodmen of America.
The Fulda Chapter of Modern Woodmen nominated the Fire Department because; ‘As volunteer fire fighters, they choose to put themselves at risk to help the members of their community every day. They are acknowledged for their acts of bravery every time they are called out to help in times of need. The Modern Woodmen thank you for your service.’
The Fire Department received an appreciation Home Town Hero plaque as well as a gift of $100 which they can donate to an organization or charity of their choice in their name. They also enjoyed a congratulations cake to celebrate the award.
