Fulda’s 3rd Annual table Cancer event was held on Saturday, April 27th, after having been rescheduled from April 13th due to a winter ice storm and wide-spread power outages.
Although on Saturday morning about four inches of snow fell over the area, the temperatures quickly melted the slush that was created. Table Cancer coordinator, Kim Kremer, stated that the early morning weather did not affect the event and 90 people gathered to raise funds for cancer research.
“The highlight of Table Cancer is previewing the decorated tables,” Kremer said. “They range from simple to unique and they each have their own story to tell.”
Twelve tables set the mood for this year’s Table Cancer.
“Blue Wolf” was hosted by Tami Kremer, who described the table’s theme by writing, “We love the “Table Cancer” event so much, but there isn’t anything special about our dishes. These wolf dishes are what we use every day! We thought it would be fun to put them into a nice dinner setting, with an elegant, outdoorsy feel. It was fun to incorporate denim and pine cones with just a touch of red. Our wolf dishes have never looked so grand!”
