Fulda’s Erin Oakland Dauwalter to be inducted into the SMSU Athletics Hall of Honor

MARSHALL, Minn. – The 14th induction into the Southwest Minnesota State University Athletics Hall of Honor is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 2.

The festivities, which will be held at the SMSU Upper Level Conference Center, will begin at 11 a.m. with a half-hour social, followed by lunch and the induction ceremonies beginning at 11:30 a.m.

The newest SMSU Athletics Hall of Honor members are former swimmer Dave Broyles (1971-75); wrestler Leon Bullerman (1989-91); men’s basketball player Chad Koenen (1998-2002); men’s basketball player Scott Koenen (1998-2001); baseball player Mark Lickfelt (1995-98); women’s golfer and basketball player Erin (Oakland) Dauwalter (2003-07); and community members and supporters of SMSU athletics Kevin and Karla Anundson. Also inducted will be the 1993 and 1994 softball teams.

A 12-member committee chose the inductees from a group of nominations. The new inductees bring the membership in SMSU’s Athletic Hall of Honor to 98 individuals/couples and 14 teams.
