Another solid night from senior Courtney Zins and huge contributions from underclassmen proved to be enough to get the win Friday night against HLO. Zins finished with 11 points, 14 rebounds, and eight assists while McKenzie Evers contributed a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Evany Luna also had a big night with 15 points and eight rebounds.
Fulda held a 28 – 21 lead at halftime and looked to have control of the game but foul trouble and mental errors allowed the Wildcats to claw their way back into the game. Gabby Stenzel (14 points) led the way for HLO in the second half knifing her way through the defense and scoring on multiple layups.
The game seemed to be speeding up too much for the young Raiders on the floor but they stepped up and decided to take control of the moment. They played smart defense in the last few minutes of the game and hit just enough shots to get the three-point win 56 – 53.
It was a total team effort by the Raiders who received contributions from multiple players who didn’t make the stat sheet but made all the difference.
The Raiders are now 6 – 8 on the year and will host the Worthington Trojans Monday night in Fulda.

Evany Luna stepped up big for the Raiders with 17 points and eight rebounds while Courtney Zins charted another double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds.
