Grayson’s 4th birthday celebrated with drive-by party parade

Grayson Shaddix, son of Kelsey Shaddix and Matt Dillon, had a wonderful surprise for his 4th birthday.

His daycare provider, Allison Kenney, had expressed that she would like to arrange a surprise birthday party for Grayson, but with COVID-19 being considered, knew that it could not be an in-person party. With assistance from Tessa Kramer, a party parade was arranged.

At the appointed time, Grayson was ready and waiting, sitting outside, awaiting his Sunday birthday “surprise”. When the vehicles  started driving by, he became very excited – especially when the police car, driven by Fulda Police Chief Paul Kenney, was included. Twelve vehicles were in the party parade, each one stopping just long enough to place a present for Grayson on the curbside.

“The vehicles all lined up at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church parking lot. Grayson lives across from the Shawn and Davina Ethridge family, so the party parade didn’t have too far to go before they were delivering Grayson’s birthday surprise,” Kramer explained.

Following the party parade, Grayson’s immediate family went out to the camp grounds to open presents and enjoy birthday cake.
