Heroes of Hunger Food Drive
On Sunday, October 20, 2019, First Presbyterian Church youth, along with some adults, dressed up in their hero costumes and went around the city of Fulda collecting food items for the Fulda Food Shelf, and items for our Operation: Thanksgiving Feed a Family baskets

“There is a super hero inside all of us. We just need the courage to put on the cape.” – Superman
Operation: Thanksgiving Feed a Family
Thanksgiving remains a time to help those struggling families prepare for their own holiday traditions with a Thanksgiving food basket. As the holidays draw near, many families begin preparing for abundant feasts and old family traditions.
However, for many more, the holidays often mean a struggle simply to provide a Thanksgiving turkey for their children.
This year, the youth of First Presbyterian Church put together bags to provide a Thanksgiving meal for those in need. The bags include a certificate to pick up a turkey, canned vegetables, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, stuffing, gravy mix, Jello or salad mix, and a dessert or cookie mix.
These bags will be delivered to local families in need.
We were able to fill 25 bags this year thanks to the tremendous support and donations from members of the First Presbyterian Church and the local community.
