One night after a four-set loss to Windom in a non-conference match, the Heron Lake-Okabena / Fulda varsity volleyball squad notched an impressive sweep over the Mountain Lake Area / Comfrey Wolverines in a Red Rock Conference match at Okabena on Tuesday evening, September 24.
Game scores, in favor of the Coyotes, were 25-13, 25-9 and 25-21.

“The loss to Windom prepared us to play tough against Mountain Lake,” summed up HL-O / F head coach Trista Rhubee. “We were well-prepared for their offense and we exploited some weakness in their defense. Our aggressive serving also played a huge role in our success. We played well and, at times, our team really looked like a well-oiled machine.”
The victory upped HL-O / F’s conference record to 3-1, while improving to 9-8 overall.
