With the addition of six new players from Fulda, the combined newly-formed Heron Lake-Okabena / Fulda High School baseball program has been preparing — mostly inside — for the upcoming spring season, which is forecasted to finally bloom later this week.

After three significant late-season snowfalls, including two in April, the team’s first five scheduled games have been postponed.

If the temperatures warm up, the snow melts and the field dries up, the Coyotes are scheduled to open the season by hosting Murray County Central at Heron Lake next Tuesday, April 17. Two days later (Thursday, April 19), HL-O / Fulda is scheduled to play at Mountain Lake and is scheduled to host Russell-Tyler-Ruthton on Friday, April 20.
