HLO-Fulda Boys narrowly miss first place at Fulda, win at MLA

Finishing in a very close second place, just one stroke off from first, the HLO-Fulda boys golf team took part in their home invitational meet  on Tuesday, May 1.

The Westbrook-Walnut Grove Chargers won the meet, shooting 350 on the 18 hole course. HLOF finished with 351, and Murray County Central was just one stroke further back, with a 352.

Rounding out the team scoring at the meet were fourth place Adrian (377), fifth Southwest Christian (390), sixth Hills-Beaver Creek (400), seventh Mountain Lake Area (413), and eighth place Red Rock Central (416).

MCC’s Tyler Groves was the meet medalist, carding an even par, 72, on the Fulda course. The second through fifth place golfers were Jack Pierson, MCC; Anthony Ross, WWG; Nick Harder, Adrian; and Kyle Kuehl, WWG.

The HLOF Coyotes had three golfers finish with 87 on the day, as Cory Renneke, Ben Sheldahl and Tyler Madison each finished with that score. Joe Fischer completed the team scoring with a 90.
