Scoring 31 points in the second half at Mountain Lake last Friday (January 10), the Heron Lake-Okabena / Fulda C-Squad boys’ basketball team rallied from a nine-point halftime deficit (13-22) and surged to a 44-33 victory over the Mountain Lake Area / Comfrey Wolverines.
Sophomore Mason Bode, who used to go to school in Comfrey, sparked the Coyote victory as he scored a total of 18 points in the game. Bode connected twice from long range (three-pointers), scored a trio of two-point field goals and netted six free throws in a strong all-around scoring performance.
