Holly Rohlik – Fulda Area Community Club board member

During the past five weeks, Fulda Area Community Club board members have shared with you about their rewarding experience of being a part of the FACC. Six community members comprise the board for FACC. Holly Rohlik is the final board member to be introduced to the community through this six-week series.

Rohlik (formerly Holly Zins) is married to Joe Rohlik. They are the parents of a 1 year old son -Cooper.

Rohlik is the owner of Studio Z Photography which is located on St. Paul Avenue in Fulda. She has lived in Fulda for twenty-five years, and took office as a FACC board member in January of 2019.

Through the FACC, Rohlik serves on the Miss Fulda/Scholarship event committee, the Fulda Wood Duck Festival committee, and the Parade of Lights committee.

Rohlik decided to join the FACC because “I wanted to volunteer to help bring life to our Fulda community.   I love that FACC promotes growth, community involvement, provides opportunities for people of all ages and includes/encourages everyone.  There is so much that the FACC does to help make sure that our town is still on the map and is a place that people want to come to.  So much goes on behind the scenes to better our community and I couldn’t wait to jump on board”.

When asked what her favorite FACC event is and why, Rohlik replied, “Honestly there are SO many events that Fulda has to choose from!  My absolute favorite has to be the Parade of Lights.  It is a prime example of how our community members and businesses come together to provide entertainment  and family fun.  It brings people to the community to share their holiday spirit and I am constantly amazed how it continues to grow and expand every year.  And this year is no exception, so much more fun to be had.  I also enjoy the Wood Duck Festival and the Comedy Night.”

Rohlik said that FACC impacts Fulda in a variety of ways. “I can see, as a business owner, how all the work the FACC does brings people to town.  It also encourages new business to come.  Fulda is known for being a welcoming community and a wonderful place to raise a family.  FACC encourages us as a community to support each other by helping educate our youth through our school and other youth activities, by shopping our local businesses, and by providing volunteer opportunity to encourage interaction between community residents.”

She continued, “There is so much that FACC wants to do but we need your help and your ideas.  This is OUR community and we want to know what we can do to make it even better yet.  We love new ideas and we have a group that is ready to help promote those ideas. We also need people who have a variety of skills to contribute.  Maybe you want to be a behind the scenes worker, we want you too!  Many hands and minds make any projects or events so much better. Feel free to contact any board member and we will be happy to get you involved in whatever part of the FACC you would like to help with.  Also, if you are attending an event and want to help, just ask!  There is always room for an extra hand.  We never turn away a helpful hand!”
