1937-CAROL VOSS-2017
Carol Ann Voss went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 10, 2017. Born in Des Moines River Township, Minnesota on July 2, 1937, Carol was the 4th of Frank and Clara Kellen Voss’ 21 children. She was a graduate from Mount St. Benedict Monastery of Crookston, MN in 1956. She then moved to Rochester to study nursing. In 1963, Carol moved to Minneapolis accepting a job in surgery at St Mary’s Hospital. There she was able to further her education and became a Cardio Pulmonary By-Pass Technician. Carol made her way to Sioux Falls in 1980 to work at the North Central Heart Hospital until her retirement in 2007. She was a member of the Knights and Ladies of the Holy Sepulcher, Sierra Club and St. Joseph’s Cathedral. Carol had a love for all her beloved pets including numerous cats, dogs and birds.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary and Toni, one granddaughter, Lauren, 14 siblings and many nieces and nephews. Carol is preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and one sister.
Funeral Services at St. Gabriel’s Church in Fulda, MN on Wednesday September 13, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. with Msgr. R. Paul Heitting officiating. The organist is Dana Hogan. The song leader is Sheila Crowley. The pallbearers are her brothers and sisters. Interment is at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Avoca, MN.
