In memory of Helen Loosbrock

Mass of Christian Burial for Helen E. Loosbrock, age 98, of Adrian, MN was held on Saturday, January 5, 2019, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Lismore, MN. Interment was in the St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery in Lismore.  Helen died Saturday, December 29, 2018 at the Adrian Country Living Cottages in Adrian, MN surrounded by her loving family. Helen Elizabeth Loosbrock was born April 12, 1920 to Joseph and Catherine (Kellen) Dorn in Adrian, MN.  She attended country school and helped raise her siblings.      

On September 2, 1946, Helen married Ralph Loosbrock and they made their home in Lismore.  Ralph passed away in 1970 and Helen raised her seven children.  Her family and her church were very important to her.  She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Lismore, and was very involved in the St. Anthony CCW, Christian Mother’s Society and the Catholic Daughters of America.  She was also a member of the Lismore Senior Citizens.  Over the years Helen worked many different jobs to support her family, such as Blue Mound Inn Catering, but she will always be remembered as a Day Care provider to many of the children of working parents in Lismore.  She remained in her own home until 2013 when she went to live with her daughter Mary, near Adrian, and in 2016 she became a resident of the Adrian Country Living Cottages in Adrian.

Helen is survived by her three daughters, Mary (Dale) Wieneke of Adrian, MN; Carolyn (Al) LeCocq of Tucson, AZ; and Jean (Kyle) Tutsch of Prior Lake, MN; four sons, Joe (Karen) Loosbrock of Magnolia, MN; Mike (Susan) Loosbrock of Fulda, MN; Dennis (Tami) Loosbrock of Champlin, MN and Tim (Jean) Loosbrock of Champlin, MN; twenty three grandchildren; forty one great grandchildren, with another on the way; one brother, Raymond Dorn of Luverne, MN; many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ralph; her grand daughter, Emily Loosbrock; three sisters, Ann Herrig, Sister David and Sister Adrienne; and four brothers, Ed, Peter, Lawrence and Wilfred (Red) Dorn.

The Adrian Funeral Home is handling the arrangements on behalf of the family.
