In memory of Minnie Ruesch

1924-MINNIE RUESCH-2017

Wilhelmina “Minnie” B. Ruesch, the daughter of John and Anna (Behr) Deuschle, was born on December 14, 1924 on a farm in Seward Twp., Nobles Co., MN. She attended and graduated from 8th grade in Seward Township. District 73 Country School. She then did housework in Fulda and later worked in a grocery store in Fulda. Minnie was united in marriage to Walter Ruesch on November 26, 1954 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Fulda. After their marriage they lived and farmed and eventually purchased the Ruesch family farm southwest of Fulda. They remained on the farm their entire lives. Minnie entered the Maple Lawn Nursing Home in Fulda on August 28, 2017 and passed away there on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at the age of 92. She was a lifetime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Fulda. She was a Sunday school teacher, served on the Altar committee, cradle roll, funeral committee and flower committee. Minnie loved to bake, make quilts, do embroidery work, gardening and flowers. She enjoyed doing puzzles and watching birds and wildlife out on the farm. Minnie loved to spend time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Walter Ruesch of Fulda, MN; 2 children, Cheryl (Ronald) Janssen of Fulda, MN and Lyle (Laura) Ruesch of Sioux Falls, SD; 6 grandchildren, Chris (Summer) Janssen, Eric (Hannah) Janssen, Melissa Viste, Matthew Ruesch and Aaron and Christopher (LaTerra) Stanga; 9 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, John and Fred Deuschle, 2 sisters, Margaret Schindler and Marie Meyer, infant brother, Paul and infant great-granddaughter, Rhylee.

Funeral Services were held at Immanuel Lutheran Church rural Fulda, MN at 10:30 AM on Friday, October 27, 2017 with Rev. Karla Kirkaby officiating.  The organist was Michelle Wieneke. The soloist was Linda Lund. The pallbearers were Chris Janssen, Eric Janssen, Melissa Viste, Matthew Ruesch, Aaron Stanga and Larry Schindler. Honorary pallbearer Christopher Stanga. Interment at the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery rural Fulda, MN.
