Mother Nature is changing the landscape with the colors showing the approach of Fall. The cornfields have a little extra rattle to them when the wind blows.
We went to the Renaissance Festival on Saturday and it was a good time. New things have been added to keep things fresh along with all the favorites. The Puke & Snot show is always good. This year we sat as the opening started and the place was packed for the main show. Louise was lucky or unlucky enough to have Puke sit between her and Kirk, our son. He exchanged banter with his partner on the stage while casually setting with us. It seemed like five to ten minutes but was probably just one or two. Puke is the one who was a school teacher in Fulda back in the day.
Sunday after a great breakfast we went to Wayzata for James J. Hill days. It was a big event with a parade, carnival, alot of venders and politicians. The highlight for us was the ride on the Steamboat Minnehaha on Lake Minnetonka. It was built by a street car company and it had a lot of similarities. Several of these steamboats were sunk in several feet of water in 1914 and this one was salvaged in 1980 and sat for ten years before it was refurbished. If you get the chance, I would recommend it.
