Jerry’s Jottings 12-4-2019

The Thanksgiving holiday was very good and now we are in Christmas count down mode. Santa will be here in a blink of the eye. The month of November held plenty of weather events and December will be interesting. The ice and snow makes getting around more difficult.

Fulda’s Parade of Lights is this Saturday for a fun time. The weather will be cooperating with the efforts to provide no cost family entertainment that will delight the child in every way.

The Christmas Countdown has begun and after all black and cyber days everyone should have there shopping list completed. Yeah, me too. There is plenty of time left to worry about it.

There has been some sad news received this week. My Old Aunt will be retiring or just resting. Her wisdom and grit will be missed but we will all buck up and make the best of it. No doubt, there could be other forms of humor that will kick the funny bone.

It was a stifling hot day and a man fainted in the middle of a busy intersection. Traffic quickly piled up in all directions while a woman rushed to help him.

When she knelt down to loosen his collar, a man emerged from the crowd, pushed her aside, and said, “It’s all right, I know first aid.”

The woman stood up and watched as he took the ill man’s pulse and prepared to administer artificial respiration.

At this point she tapped him on the shoulder and said, “When you get to the part about calling a doctor, I’m already here.”

Have a good week.
