Jerry’s Jottings 4-1-2020

April Fools Day is a lot different this year the sprite of a good joke is lost. The world is fighting to gain control over a deadly virus that has a gripe on everyone. Isolation seems to be the best solution at present. Finding a cure and distributing it will take time. Our job is to stay healthy by isolation, social distancing, washing our hands and common sense. There is help with payroll for small businesses that will save a lot of them who continue to employ their workforce. Small business is at our core and our support is required now more than ever. If your spending a dollar make it count.

I have been in several online meetings trying different apps. So far I like “Zoom” but I’m willing to use most anything for the work at home order. The process will get a little smoother with use. City and counties are using the technology plus the six foot distancing. Our little group of papers will start using them with the first of April. It will be a lot less driving and will work for those working from home or in the office.

I can only urge you to use caution when out and plan your day if possible. Find your humor where you can and don’t judge.

Staying at home most of the time has had it cost. Living in close proximity to the spouse for days on can strain the relationship. We have not tried putting puzzles together between us because that would seem like a regular day. We have accomplished a few projects (small ones) that have been on the list. Creative cooking has occupied some time but thank God for technology.

Stay safe and we can talk next week.
