I have had very good success raising monarch butterflies again this year. My milkweed plants have attracted the rare creatures to our garden and before long you have the tiniest of caterpillars chewing their way through milkweed leaves. The caterpillars grow fast to the size of a thick pencil a couple of inches long. The larva will soon metamorphosis into a beautiful butterfly that will continue the flight to a small region in Mexico. Then the process starts over again. Grow a few milkweed in your garden and join the fun.
The Murray County Fair starts this week Wednesday and runs through Saturday. Take the family and join your friends at the fair. Stop in at our booth and say hi. We are always open to new ideas and would love to hear yours.
We have Renaissance Festival tickets available for you. A couple of free tickets may encourage you to go and you would have a little extra money for refreshments.
We have received some letters related to the election that were unsigned or anonymous. Our policy is to not run them without signatures. There are certain times exceptions can be made but I would need to know who wrote the letter. Any questions, call me at 507-360-2384

Waiter: “I’ll need to see your ID.”
Customer (giggling while showing her ID): “You think I look like a teenager?”
Waiter: “No. I thought you qualified for our senior citizen discount.”
