Figuring out if and how you can contribute to your community through volunteering can often be difficult for many people. Overall, people may feel overwhelmed, under qualified or lacking the time necessary to give. Junior Achievement, of Murray County, would like everyone to rethink this! Junior Achievement (JA) offers financial literacy, college readiness, and entrepreneurship education to K-12 students through a network of volunteer educators in classrooms of the Fulda and MCC Public Schools.
There is no need to feel overwhelmed as JA provides extensive classroom materials for the instructors with step by step instruction guides. You do not need to provide a thing except energy and enthusiasm. Don’t worry about time commitments. You can commit to teaching one class, or more. One class can be taught in five days at roughly 45 minutes per day, spread out as necessary.
