Two young Heron Lake-Okabena / Fulda high school fast-pitch softball players have been honored as Honorable Mention selections for this year’s All-Conference squad of the six-team Red Rock Conference, which had Class A state champion Edgerton / Southwest Christian finish at the top of the league standings.
The high-powered Flying Dutchmen ran the table in the Red Rock with a perfect 10-0 conference record. They finished with an overall mark of 20-5 after winning their second state title in the past four seasons.
Mountain Lake Area / Comfrey (16-8 overall) and Murray County Central (13-7) both finished 7-3 in conference games and tied for second place. Red Rock Central / Westbrook-Walnut Grove (7-10, 3-7), Adrian / Ellsworth (3-14, 2-8) and Heron Lake-Okabena / Fulda (2-16, 1-9) completed the standings.
