A nurse at Sanford Worthington Medical Center was honored on July 25, 2017 with The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses. The award, presented in collaboration with The American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE) is part of the DAISY Foundation’s program to recognize the super-human efforts nurses perform everyday. The Award at Sanford Worthington Medical Center is sponsored by the Sanford Health Network Executive Team.
The recipient of the DAISY Award is Laura Laackmann, RN. Laackmann received nominations from a patient’s family that she cared for.
“I am honored to accept this award,” stated Laackmann. “I enjoy my job and helping patients is very important to me. Working alongside the team at the hospital who are passionate in their work, family orientated and ultimately providing great care close to home is very rewarding to me. Thank you to the Elaine Stenzel family for nominating me and the Daisy Foundation for the award.”
