Letter to the Editor:
I am writing this letter of recommendation and support for Randy Donahue, Sheriff candidate for Murray County.
I have known Randy for over 20 years both professionally and personally. I had the honor to serve with and work alongside Randy as a member of the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) task force. Randy worked very hard and spent countless hours writing grants to get the technology and equipment at the Murray County Sheriff’s Dept. ICAC Investigators used this equipment to protect children from online predators. Randy not only set this equipment up but also helped train other investigators.
Randy has made an impact statewide whether it was his work with ICAC, implementing the ARMER radio system, and most importantly, the relationships he built with the citizens of Murray County.
I’ve seen Randy interact with the public and his peers at the Sheriff’s Dept. where he has gained their respect and was always ready to help. Although I’m now retired, I count the days working with Randy as some of my best in law enforcement, taking the online predators off the street.
In summary, I encourage you to cast your vote for Randy Donahue for Sheriff of Murray County. I believe there is no one who will work harder, be fairer, and always put the citizens first, than Randy.
