Citizens of Murray County,
It is nearing the time to cast your ballots! I’m sure everyone will be glad when it is over and the RIGHT person will be our Sheriff again!
We at the Murray County Sheriff’s Office want to reiterate the fact that we would be more than happy to continue working for Sheriff Steve Telkamp. He has done a great job for the past 16 years and will do so again for another 4 years.
There is a lot of false propaganda and videos that keep getting circulated by those supporting other candidates but what everyone needs to understand is; every bit of propaganda can be explained with the actual truth and the videos were the Sheriff under months of duress and attacks on employees.
A select group has been slinging mud at the Sheriff and everyone in this office for at least 6 months now. Without interruption, we have continued conducting our jobs, professionally, as we always have. Sheriff Telkamp, although he has been under attack, has remained calm, collected and professional throughout.
This is the quality we want in our Sheriff.
Throughout the past 15 years, we have provided shift coverage, resources, free training, supplies, dispatching, up to date Technical Equipment without complaint or hesitation for other Agencies. We have worked together with those Agencies. The fallout and lack of cooperation has been on their part.
If you have to attempt a win by running a dirty campaign, maybe this small county and small towns are not the place for you. As citizens of Murray County, we protect and help our own. We stand up when someone is hurting, grieving or just needs a helping hand. That is what we are all about.
Remember who has gone out of their way for our youth, elderly and everyone during the flooding……SHERIFF STEVE TELKAMP and the current Murray County Sheriff’s Office employees that stand behind our Sheriff 100%.
So on Tuesday, November 6th, 2018, go out and VOTE your conscience, and for the BEST candidate (with the most experience in running a large department) that will continue to strive for keeping Murray County the best place to live.
